Intercultural Dance & Music Festival
Music and dance connect us humans in a language everyone understands. Indian music, modern and traditional dances will bring a touch of India to Kelsterbach. An Irish singer and a "tough Hessian" will round out the program. Naturally, Indian cuisine will also be featured.
The Indian Consulate General in Frankfurt (CGI), the city of Kelsterbach, and KfK e.V., a local association for the support and development of children, are jointly organizing the inaugural "Indra Dhanush" Sounds of Rainbow 2017. The name translates to "Rainbow." Several artists from different nations will showcase their talents live. The program includes everything from solo performances to group presentations. There will be plenty of singing and dancing. In addition, an art exhibition will be held in the foyer , where artists with disabilities from the "Mal anders" studio will demonstrate their artistic talent. The art project is managed by EVIM, based in Wiesbaden. KfK plans to repeat the event series in the coming years, each time focusing on a different country.
The Fritz Treutel House will be open to all residents of Kelsterbach and visitors from outside the town on April 29, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Children enter free of charge; adults pay five euros.
Mayor Manfred Ockel and City Councillor Rahul Kumar are looking forward to this festival as another intercultural and social event in Kelsterbach, for which several distinguished guests have already confirmed their attendance. Representatives from politics and business, as well as actors from film and television, have also signed up. The Indian Consul General, Mr. Raveesh Kumar, describes the cooperation as extremely pleasant and welcomes the collaborative commitment of all involved.
